Papillon Lagoon Reef is located on Diani beach, widely considered to be Kenya's most beautiful beach. The hotel is built in traditional Swahili style, and nestles within exotic gardens. 

Make the most of the beach-side location with a wide range of water sports including windsurfing, snorkelling and beach fishing, or book a diving trip with our resident dive team to explore the nearby coral reefs. The pool, with its own swim-up bar, is a great place to relax and theres also a separate pool for children.

In the evening, the spectacular Makuti-roofed baobab restaurant serves a plentiful buffet of delicious Kenyan cuisine and international classics. After dinner, enjoy the varied programme of uniquely East African performance in the Zig Zag Bar

As well as the beach and the pool, this resort is ideally located for combining a beach holiday with a safari holiday, or making the most of the wide range of day trips and activities that are on offer in-resort.

Families:

A range of games and activities are available at the resort including table tennis, pool, bar football, board games, plus beach football and volleyball.  The hotel has an unsupervised play area with swings, slide and climbing frame.

The hotel has a number of bedrooms with interconnecting doors, ideal for families with 2 or more children. Cottage or family rooms sleep up to 4 adults

Restaurants & Bars:

The Baobab Restaurant is a spacious buffet-style restaurant with an open-air terrace, serving international and Kenyan cuisine and international dishes.

The Zig Zag Bar & Restaurant - a poolside restaurant for breakfast, lunch and grill and also the venue for evening entertainment and barbecues.

With a swim-up counter, the Pool Bar is open from 10.00 until 18.00.

Close to both the beach and the sea, the beach bar is open from 18.00 until midnight.

Travel Documents and Visas

A valid passport is required for all international and over-border travel, which must be valid for at least 6 months after your return from overseas and have at least 2 blank pages in the passport for visa stamping purposes.

South African passport holders do not require a visa for Kenya for a stay of up to 30 days. In certain cases, foreign passport holders require a re-entry or departure permits and it is advised to contact the relevant authorities to check this prior to departure.
