Unsure if you’ll be able to attend and board this floating fortress filled with books? Take a look at a few essential details in order to see if you’ll have the opportunity to find your sea legs and attend this magical seaside experience.

Basic information

This floating book fair, which holds over 5,000 titles within its walls, was created by transforming an old passenger ferry into a sanctuary for fiction and non-fiction fans. Beyond selling books, Logos Hope also focuses on executing literacy and educational programs to ensure a love for reading and access to literature are spread globally.

Entrance fees are R10 per person, and Logos Hope makes it its mission to offer an affordable selection of book types. Children under 12 are free to enter, so this activity is a wonderful experience for the whole family.

There is also an area where visitors can enjoy interactive displays and an eatery where they can buy a snack to accompany the reader’s recent book purchase.
