Posted on 4 November 2022 By Tsoku Maela

Care for wild rhino sanctuary has announced the birth of a new calf. The white rhino calf is the fourth to be born at the sanctuary this year.

The calf’s mother, Twinkle, arrived as an orphan and began rehabilitation at the sanctuary in 2016 after her mother fell victim to poaching.

On 2 November the sanctuary received a notification from their Rhino Monitors in the Intensive Protection Zone of Twinkle giving birth at 22:38 pm, and this would be the 7-year-old rhino’s first calf.
