The airline says services have progressively resumed across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas and Australasia following a period of disruption.
According to the airline, more than 1 300 weekly flights are currently operating across its network, with overall capacity now sitting at approximately 75% of pre-disruption levels. Emirates also revealed that it carried around 4.7 million passengers during the transition period as services gradually returned.
The Dubai-based carrier says travellers can once again access a wide range of global connections through its hub in the United Arab Emirates, including routes across Africa and key long-haul destinations in Europe, Asia and North America.
Emirates has also continued rolling out upgrades to its onboard experience during the recovery phase. The airline recently introduced Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi on selected aircraft, allowing passengers improved internet connectivity while in flight. The service is currently available on 28 aircraft, with further expansion expected across the fleet.
For South African travellers, the airline remains an important international connector, operating routes from Cape Town International Airport, Johannesburg and Durban to Dubai and onward destinations around the world.
The airline says it continues to monitor demand and operational conditions closely while working to restore even more flight options and connections in the coming months.
