13 Asian countries South Africans can visit without a visa

South Africans may not have the strongest passport, but we have a bit of leeway regarding places we can travel to without going through the visa process.

In Asia, there are 13 countries we can fly to without worrying about being granted a visa in time, if at all.

1. Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a bustling metropolis on China’s southern coast and is renowned for its vibrant street life, unique blend of Eastern and Western cultures and stunning skyline. It offers a dynamic culinary scene, a beautiful harbour, and world-class shopping.

2. Indonesia

The world’s largest archipelago is a diverse and tropical nation encompassing thousands of islands. Indonesia has rich biodiversity, including the Komodo dragons, dense rainforests, and vibrant coral reefs. It has a mix of languages, traditions, and cultures and offers a tapestry of experiences.

3. Laos

Laos is a landlocked country in Southeast Asia and is celebrated for its unspoiled landscapes, including lush forests, serene temples, and the picturesque Mekong River. It has a more laid-back feel than some of its neighbours, allowing travellers to immerse themselves in traditional Lao culture, explore ancient sites, and sample their delicious cuisine.

5. Macau

6. Malaysia

13. South Korea
