According to SA News, the appointments followed a competitive tender process after the previous concession agreements expired.
The changes will introduce new dining concepts at four popular camps, while one restaurant will undergo refurbishment.
The former Mugg & Bean at Lower Sabie will reopen as Sabie River Café, while the Wimpy at Pretoriuskop will be replaced by Le Lapeng Burgers and Grill.
At Berg-en-Dal, Tindlovu Restaurant will become Eziko Eatery. Meanwhile, the Cattle Baron at Skukuza will be refurbished to give the restaurant a refreshed look.
SANParks said temporary dining facilities with limited menus would be available during refurbishment periods to maintain services for visitors. The organisation and the new operators have apologised for any inconvenience while the upgrades are under way.
The appointments are expected to bring fresh concepts and investment to the park’s dining facilities, while supporting job creation and economic growth.
SANParks said it looks forward to unveiling the upgraded facilities in the coming months.
