More CapeNature reserves reopen

CapeNature in the Western Cape announced that its reserves will reopen in phases in accordance with Level 3 regulations, for hiking and angling activities.

Same day bookings must be made before 10am on that day. Only future bookings can be made after 10am.

In a statement, CapeNature Chief Executive Officer Sheraaz Ismail said: ‘Staff are working diligently to ensure that the respective reserves are compliant and ready to welcome visitors to our reserves. All regulations relating to social distancing, health protocols, movement and the prohibition of groups and gatherings will apply accordingly.’

CapeNature has stressed the importance of adhering to the daily capacity. ‘Please take into consideration the daily limit allowed on each trail. Once capacity is reached no more hiking permits may be issued for that trail on that day. The opening of trails will be subject to weather conditions.’
