On Tuesday, South African National Parks (SANParks) issued an alert regarding a potential scam involving fake booking confirmations.

The authority took to social media on Tuesday to bring awareness to the potential scam, writing:
‘SANParks has been made aware of a potential scam involving fraudulent booking confirmation emails. These emails may appear to come from SANParks but are not sent from our official systems.”
As the authority investigates the matter, SANParks encourages vigilance, urging the public to note the following:
- SANParks booking confirmations are sent as PDF attachments and do not require clicking links to access.
- If you receive a suspicious email, do not click any links or provide personal information.
