Why Aeon Club deserves a spot on your Winelands itinerary

Posted on 17 July 2026 By Bianca Muller

For years, a trip to the Cape Winelands has been all about wine tasting, long lunches and beautiful scenery. But if you’re looking to add something a little different to your next visit, Paarl’s newest wellness destination is worth putting on your itinerary.

Hidden inside Frater Square on Main Road, Aeon Club is the first dedicated recovery and longevity club in the Cape Winelands. Inspired by wellness spaces found in cities such as Toronto, London and New York, it brings together science-backed recovery therapies in a calm, beautifully designed setting.

Whether you’ve spent the morning hiking, mountain biking or exploring the Winelands, it’s the kind of place where you can slow down before heading off to your next stop.

What can you do at Aeon Club?

Visitors can choose from a range of recovery treatments, including:

  • Infrared sauna, which uses far-infrared heat to promote relaxation and support recovery.
  • Cold plunge pools kept at around 7–8°C for those wanting to experience the invigorating benefits of cold-water immersion.
  • Contrast therapy, alternating between heat and cold to stimulate circulation.
  • BODYROLL™ therapy, designed to assist with circulation, muscle recovery and lymphatic drainage.
  • Red light therapy, which uses near-infrared light to support cellular recovery and reduce inflammation.

No specialist gear is required – simply arrive with your swimwear if you’re planning to use the sauna or cold plunge. Towels, robes and other essentials are provided.

Make a day of it

One of Aeon Club’s biggest draws is its location. It’s just minutes from Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve, making it an easy stop after a morning hike or trail run.

The surrounding Frater Square precinct is also home to Energie Yoga and Salmon & Brine, while several of the Cape Winelands’ renowned wine estates, including Babylonstoren, are only a short drive away.

It’s easy to picture the perfect itinerary: an early morning on the mountain, a recovery session at Aeon Club, lunch nearby and an afternoon exploring the Winelands.
