Toyota has issued a safety recall for the Land Cruiser Prado. We detail the models affected, the reason for the recall, and how you can check if your car is affected.

Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has issued a safety recall for Land Cruiser Prado models sold between 5 December 2023 and 7 August 2025. The Japanese automaker’s local arm says a software error of the combination meter in the instrument cluster may not fully appear during startup. The 3D graphics Micro Controller Unit then presents a blank image in the 3D graphics area. This means the displays for engine oil pressure, electrical charge, engine coolant temperature, and other warning messages may not be displayed and, as such, relayed to the Prado’s driver.
