A global spice powerhouse

India’s contribution to the world spice market is nothing short of impressive. The country grows over 70% of the world’s different spices. These include cinnamon, saffron, turmeric and nutmeg. Additionally, Indian cuisine is characterised by a variety of spices, blends and herbs. As such, it comes as no surprise that India is also the world’s largest spice consumer.

An interesting hill that seemingly defies gravity

India is also home to an intriguing natural wonder known as Magnetic Hill. Located in Ladakh, the attraction defies the law of gravity. The hill road is actually a downhill road.
