Forget the jumper leads? No second vehicle to jump start off? No problem, Herman of Angel 4×4 demonstrates how to solve the problem with a jack and a recovery strap.
He goes through the checklist in the video but here you go, for reference.
What you’ll need
A jack, a recovery strap and a troublesome, non-starting 4×4.
Checklist
Chock the vehicle securely, jack it up and wrap the recovery strap around the tyre about twice.
Make sure the diff-lock is off, or the vehicle will drive off the jack, dangerous.
Put it in second gear
Remember to deactivate the vehicle immobiliser
Ignition on
