1. The Fab Ideas Market, Cape Town
What: The Fab Ideas Market’s Christmas Gift Fair is one of the most anticipated markets in Cape Town, with a wide array of goods, ranging from home décor, jewellery, clothing, handmade crafts, and even selected treats or foods. All items are barcoded, and the market will pitch up tills for debt and credit facilities to ensure hassle-free payment and customer satisfaction.
Entry is free of charge, and part of the proceeds of the market go to various charities and sponsorships.

2. The Pinelands Craft and Gift Fair, Cape Town
What: The Pinelands Craft and Gift Fair is hosted annually during December in the Kent Hall of Pinelands High School. This market is abuzz with energy, and offers a selection of gifts by 200 crafters, of which gifts include handcrafted cards and Christmas decorations, treats, baskets, wire and leatherwork, glassware and needlework, jewellery and children’s gifts, books, clothing and so many more. They also have a pop-up nursery with well-priced plants.

3. The Crafter’s Fair, Johannesburg
What: With variation, excellent quality, and reasonable prices, this market is not to be missed. With many exhibitors, you’ll find tables stocked to the brim with scrapbooking, jewellery, toys, décor items, gifts, and so much more.
Children under 12 do not need to pay an entry fee. Entry is R10 per person. Credit card facilities are available, and Covid-19 protocols apply.

4. Bryanston Market, Johannesburg
What: The Moonlight Markets series from Bryanston Market specialises in organically grown fresh produce, deli foods, crafts, gifts, jewellery, and clothing made from mainly natural materials. In addition to supporting small businesses and solo entrepreneurs, they have a wide array of eateries available.
