Take a break! Spa specials around the country for under R1000 Posted by Chloe Cowley on 16 February 2022 Sometimes, you just need a break. And, thanks to Valentine’s Day, spas all over the country are running various specials until the end of February – some even longer. Here are some of the best spa deals for under R1,000. Amani Spa at Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre, Johannesburg If you are in Johannesburg and looking for a great spot in the City of Gold, take a look at Amani Spa at Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre. This month, Amani has various deals going, but for R990 per person you can grab the Love Me Tender deal which is valued at R1 290 so you can save R300. This is a 90-minute rose salt body polish, a back massage and a pressure point foot massage. Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront, Cape Town Picture: Supplied If the Love Me Tender treatment at Amani Spa in Johannesburg sounded like just your thing, but you’re based in Cape Town, then we have great news for you. Their sister hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront is offering the same package this month of love. The View Spa, Johannesburg Picture: Supplied The View Spa is another great Johannesburg spot. Located on the 10th floor, this spa is the perfect escape from the bustle of Johannesburg below. Couples and loved ones can opt for the Cupid’s Touch special. For R780 per person, this deal includes a 30-minute back, neck and shoulder massage plus a 30-minute express facial. Visitors to the spa can also make use of other facilities such as the steam room. This spa also has group and corporate packages that start at R580 per person. Spier, Cape Town Picture: Unsplash If you are keen on heading to the Cape Winelands for a luxurious treatment, the spa at Spier has a few things for you to enjoy. For under R1 000 per person, there is a one-hour Elemental spa treatment that consists of an aroma back, neck and shoulder massage, plus hot stone reflexology. The cost of this is R670 per person. For those who get nibbly, the spa at Spier is also offering a spa lunch at R275 per person until the end of February. This is a two-course meal packed with nutrients and loaded with flavour. Oyster Box Hotel spa, Durban Picture: Unsplash When you think of relaxing and luxurious spas in Durban, your mind almost automatically goes to the Oyster Box Hotel spa. Located on Durban’s beachfront, this is an iconic location in the area. The month-of-love specials are a bit out of the R1 000 per person limit we’ve set here, but the spa does have other treatments on the menu that fit this budget. If it’s romance you’re after, take a look at the bathing ceremonies. The romantic bathing ceremony is R510 and is a candlelit bath, strewn with flowers and the spa’s pure blend of aromatherapy bath oil. If you’re more of a conventional treatment type of person, then there’s the scalp, neck and shoulder massage or the back, neck and shoulder massage. Both are R700 per person.
