CapeNature won’t increase tourism price until 2020

Posted on 1 November 2019

Cape Nature announced a tourism price freeze on entrance fees, camping, hiking and accommodation tariffs until August 2020 across all CapeNature reserves. This follows an announcement from SANParks that has increased its tariffs in its Cape National Parks from 1 November..

Visitors can enjoy all the amenities at the current rates. Costs for hiking, camping under the stars, and ‘glamping’ in luxury, safari-style tents, and staying in luxury self-catered eco-cabins will not increase in the new year.

CapeNature wants to encourage local tourists to explore their wonderful reserves at an affordable rate.

CapeNature said in a statement: ‘The announcement forms part of the entity’s mandate to manage, conserve and promote human, natural and heritage assets through best practice, access, benefit sharing and sustainable use.’
