South Africa’s biggest décor and design showcase returns in 2026 with a renewed focus on comfort, creativity and intentional living.

Decorex Africa will once again transform Cape Town and Johannesburg into hubs of inspiration, bringing together hundreds of designers, brands and immersive experiences under one theme: Soft Life.

With more than 600 exhibitors expected across both cities, the exhibition promises a multi-sensory journey through contemporary African design. Visitors can explore ten curated design restaurants, interactive cooking studios, DIY renovation workshops and large-scale installations spanning lighting, architecture and furniture.
The 2026 edition, proudly sponsored by Santam and Lexus, encourages a shift away from hustle culture towards spaces that prioritise wellbeing and human connection. According to joint Executive Creative Director Garreth van Niekerk, this year’s showcase asks an important question: how can design reshape the way people live, rest and experience their homes?
Across the exhibition floors, guests can expect pioneering work from the 2026 Designers of the Year alongside emerging African creatives presenting fresh perspectives on craftsmanship and innovation. Kitchen and bathroom showcases, immersive installations and hands-on demonstrations aim to inspire both homeowners and industry professionals.
