SANParks has announced that it will discount it some of its wilderness and backpacking trails in Kruger National Park for the month of February.

The discounts go up to 40% of the cost and the break down is as follows:
bookings of 1 or 2 guests – 15% off
bookings of 3 or 4 guests – 20% off
bookings of 5 or 6 guests – 30% off

Accommodation on the Wilderness Trails is at a base camp with four rustic two-bed units (regrettably, fees will be not be reduced further for single occupancy), and meals are included in the tariff. On the Backpack Trails, participants provide their own camping equipment and food for the duration of the trail.

Full logistical details for each trail will be provided when booking, which can be made through the SANParks Call Centre at (012) 428 9111 or via email to [email protected].

The discount applies only to the cost of the trail, not to accommodation or conservation fees, Wild Card purchases, other activities or meals not included in the trail.

A 1% Community Fund charge will apply to the discounted reservation cost and standard payment and SANParks says that ‘modification and cancellation rules apply’.
