Lions take over patrol in Kruger National Park

Posted on 20 April 2020

The lions in the Kruger National Park appear to have taken it upon themselves to enforce lockdown.

Patrolling the roads around Skukuza Staff Village, the park’s largest rest camp and administrative headquarters, the lions seemed to be making sure all those left in the camp were adhering to the country’s strict social distancing and lockdown regulations.

Johan Malan from the Wildlife Veterinary Services in the park captured the pride going about its inspection. One even looks as though he’s giving Malan a dirty look for driving around.
