Thailand removes PCR test requirement

Posted on 25 April 2022 By David Henning

Thailand’s centre for Covid-19 approves the lifting of international travellers and will introduce two new schemes for vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers from 1 May.

Thailand's tourism industry is crumbling

Vaccinated travellers will have the freedom to travel anywhere in Thailand upon arrival, provided they have registered for a Thailand pass, with a vaccine certificate and an insurance policy of no less than $10 000.

Unvaccinated travellers however are required to register for a Thailand Pass with a five-day hotel booking and an insurance policy covering at least $10 000.

They will have to proceed straight to their five-day quarantine and undergo a rapid PCR test on the fifth day.
