‘Tourism in South Africa with Trevor Noah’ wins international award

The ‘Tourism in South Africa with Trevor Noah’ advertising campaign has come third in the Tourism Destination Country category at the 36th World Tourism Film Awards.

As reported by IOL, the awards were recently held in Valencia, Spain. They are aimed at showcasing the most inspiring and innovative tourism campaigns.

Produced by Seriti TV, the R38 million campaign celebrates South Africa’s vibrant culture, as well as the world-class travel experiences which the country has to offer.

Since its release in November last year, it has received over 1 million views on YouTube.

The campaign has also reached the eyes of millions more through social media platforms such as TikTok, X and Facebook.

According to Bizcommunity, this year’s event focused on celebrating the power of storytelling, recognizing productions that set new benchmarks in the promotion of tourism.

‘Tourism in South Africa with Trevor Noah’ competed with a number of global heavyweights, and 27 exceptional productions from 16 countries were honoured as the World’s Best Tourism Films.
