Surfing at Pavones Beach

Costa Rica is one of the world’s best surfing destinations. As a quiet and eco-friendly spot, Pavones Beach is a surfer’s haven. It boasts the world’s largest wave breaks and attracts surfers from all across the globe. It is located along the southern Pacific Coast,  and while it is relatively remote and not too easy to get to, the surfing experience it offers is absolutely worth it.

Diving in Cocos Island

Shark Diving

Cocos Island is situated south-west of the Costa Rican mainland. It is a world-class diving destination and is the perfect spot for advanced divers. There are plenty of shark spotting opportunities, with the months from June to November being the best times to go diving at the destination. The island boasts an abundance of hammerhead sharks. Whale sharks and tiger sharks can also be spotted.

Ziplining in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve

 

When in Costa Rica, Monteverde is a must-visit. It is known as the mountain where you can touch the clouds as it offers the chance to discover unique and magical cloud forests up close. The reserve is also rich in wildlife and offers some of the best ziplining experiences in the world.

Upon your visit, you can take a trip high into the treetops to enjoy the exhilarating experience of ziplining through the clouds. It is the perfect opportunity to appreciate breathtaking aerial views of nature and its beauty.

Hiking around Rio Celeste

The enchanting Rio Celeste is located in Tenorio Volcano National Park and is a 14km stretch of magical blue waters. It takes approximately an hour to hike from the park’s entrance to the waterfall. The hiking level is moderate, although some sections may prove to be a little challenging for beginner hikers. A hiking experience around Rio Celeste offers superb panoramic views of nature and unforgettable memories.
