In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Shamwari Private Game Reserve is inviting guests to share their memories of remarkable moments from the past three decades.
Your magic moment could win you a three-night stay at Long Lee Manor
To do so simply e-mail your favourite picture(s) from your visit to Shamwari with a short description of why the image or memory is so special and your contact details to [email protected]. If your most memorable image pre-dates digital photography, you can send a scan of the photographic print.
Don’t worry if the picture accompanying your special memory isn’t perfect as this is not a photographic competition. We aren’t looking for the sharpest or most well-composed picture, but rather the most interesting or meaningful stories behind the image.
Images can be submitted between 1 September and 31 October, with the best story or stories to be published here in December. The person who submits the most special memory will win a three-night stay for two at the sumptuous Long Lee Manor valued at R100 000.
The prize includes all game drives, meals and beverages (excluding premium liquor). The winner will be asked to pay the conservation levy. Spa visits, laundry and travel costs are not included. The prize is valid until 31 October 2023 but excludes peak periods such as the festive season and Easter.
In addition to the prize, Shamwari is offering Getaway readers a 10% discount on any reservations and stays booked before 15 December 2022 for stays until 31 October 2023, excluding peak periods. The special cannot be combined with any other offer6
