Tested: Magneto pop up lantern

Posted on 29 November 2013

Compact, good looking and functional the Magneto pop-up lantern is a great travel light – perfect for camping, hiking or to leave at your holiday home. And is was named one of the coolest travel gadgets of 2013 (check out the rest here).

This lantern folds down to the size of a small packet of peanuts and pops up into a bigger coffee cup-sized lantern. It’s very lightweight and the 90-lumen LED torch is bright enough for most activities. When folded down, it acts as a palm-sized torch.

There are three settings on this light – dim, bright and strobe – and it takes three AA batteries. You can also hang up the lantern thanks to the clever hook or stick the torch to a metal surface (like a car) with the built in magnet.

It ‘s the perfect stocking filler this Christmas at a great price and any age will appreciate the nifty light.

I did.
