10 wondrous waterfalls in Africa

Posted by Elise Kirsten on 26 October 2018

Getting in to nature is good for body and soul. Besides the soothing effect of watching and listening to water move, waterfalls are surrounded by negative ions that have a positive effect on the body, such as revitalizing cell metabolism and enhancing immune function.

Here are 10 waterfalls from all over Africa that will hopefully inspire you to seek out or nearest falls.

The impressive Howick Falls plunges 95 meters down into the Umgeni River💦 We imagined it being located a bit desolated, but in reality it’s right in the center of the town Howick, so we barely had to leave our car to get this view. This waterfall is great for the lazy ones😅👌 What’s your favorite waterfall? . . . . . . . . #waterfall #waterfallwednesday #howickfalls #kwazulunatal #sandstone #lush #escarpment #ig_travel #passionpassport #passportready #stunning_shots #lppathfinders #keepexploring #travelbug #travelsouthafrica #meetsouthafrica #beautifuldestinations #river #wonderful_places #nature_of_our_world #travelgram #spectacular #waterfallsofinstagram #waterfalling #waterfallphotography #instapassport #ig_southafrica #rejseliv #travelcaptures

10. Wadi El Rayan, Egypt

These falls are rather dinky compared to the others (although reportedly the biggest in the country) and join two man-made lakes in a natural depression in the western desert region of Egypt.
