The regional airline has released an extended 18 month forward schedule in partnership with St Helena Tourism. The aim is to give travellers and the island community clearer long term visibility when planning trips.
At present, Airlink operates a weekly Saturday flight between Johannesburg and St Helena. From mid December 2026 through mid March 2027, the airline will introduce a seasonal Tuesday return service between Cape Town and St Helena. This new flight will support peak summer travel and provide an additional route for visitors who want to explore one of the most remote islands in the South Atlantic.
Although the forward schedule runs for 18 months, flights can be booked only 360 days in advance. Travellers are encouraged to check availability well ahead of their planned departure dates.
Katherine Whelan, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlink, says the expanded schedule supports both the island and future visitors. She explains that providing long term access helps travellers plan with ease while also supporting tourism and economic development on St Helena. She notes that the island is a remarkable destination and that Airlink is proud to help welcome more people to it.
The island hopes the improved access will encourage steady tourism growth. With additional flight options and clearer scheduling, St Helena becomes more reachable for travellers who enjoy remote places and meaningful adventure.
