Join the annual birding event in Golden Gate National Park

The SANParks Honorary Rangers, Free State Region, is inviting the public to attend the 15th annual birding event in the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in 2021.

Attendees can enjoy spectacular birding led by experienced guides while taking in the splendour of the park. Expect some very special birds – Cape and bearded vultures, southern bald ibis, Gurney`s sugarbird, bush blackcap and blue korhaan to name but a few.

‘This year, we are delighted to be joined by Andre Botha of the Endangered Wildlife Trust, who will enlighten us about vultures in Africa,’ SANParks said on Facebook.

Go birding with birding gurus, visit the park’s new Interpretation Centre or enjoy guided walks and drives. There will be plenty to do and great prizes to win.

Date: February 5-7, 2021.

Price: R520 per person

This included dinner and quiz on Friday and the prize-giving dinner with a guest speaker on Saturday (excludes accommodation).
