The Knysna Cycle Tour promises two epic days of mountain biking on 1 and 2 July which have been planned for adventure cyclists. This event is where the real MTB heroes come out to play! If you’re a rider looking for a challenge, get ready to conquer the 48 km Green Route or the mind-blowing 80 – 85 km Red Route on day one, and the 42 km route on day two, through the scenic Knysna indigenous forest – these are the favourite rides of the Knysna locals. The races start at the bottom of Simola, and from there, it’s a wild adventure through the breathtaking forest.

On Sunday, 2 July, the Knysna Toyota Fun Enduro will feature three or five timed stages of technical, downhill terrain to get your heart racing. Stages vary in length from 400 to 1200 and you’ll be cruising through the legendary Knysna Forest, enjoying the thrill of riding on jeep trails and contours.

With new routes and breathtaking scenery, the KnysnaX Trail Series Winter Run on 6 July promises an exhilarating experience for all participants. The Houtkapper Trail Run calls trail running enthusiasts to immerse themselves in an extraordinary adventure through the enchanting forests that inspired the renowned works of the late author, Daleen Matthee. The run, taking place on 9 July, offers three routes of varying lengths and difficulty. Runners will have the privilege of exploring iconic locations, including Krisjan-se-nek, the Daleen Matthee memorial, and the legendary Daleen Matthee Big Tree—an awe-inspiring 880-year-old yellowwood tree.

Choose from the 15 km and 27 km routes, specially designed to challenge intermediate to experienced trail runners while unveiling the hidden gems within the heart of the Garden Route National Park. Prepare to be captivated by breathtaking single tracks and exhilarating terrain suitable for trail runners of all skill levels. Beginners are also welcome to join the fun with a more accessible 9 km route tailored to their enjoyment.
