Two familiar fins made waves in Kalk Bay this week. Orcas were spotted cruising through the harbour – a rare and remarkable sight for this Cape Town fishing village.

These are believed to be the same pair seen in Hermanus earlier this year, notorious for hunting Great Whites.
Their presence has reshaped the ocean dynamic, with sightings of Great Whites around Cape Town and Gansbaai dropping dramatically.
