The Grammy-winning artist, best known for her soulful sound and hit song ‘The Man I Need,’ will perform in Cape Town on Thursday, 29 January 2027, before heading to Johannesburg on Sunday, 31 January.

Following previous editions featuring international acts such as KAYTRANADA and Gunna, the festival is returning with another major name on its line-up, bringing a mix of contemporary R&B, pop and neo-soul to South African audiences.

Dean has steadily built a name for herself with a sound that blends classic soul influences with modern pop and R&B.

A graduate of the prestigious BRIT School, she reached a wider audience with her debut album, Messy, released in 2023. Her more recent music, including ‘The Man I Need,’ has helped push her into the international spotlight.

Her growing influence was further recognised at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where she won Best New Artist, cementing her position among the most exciting voices in contemporary music.

For local fans, her upcoming performances offer an opportunity to experience the singer’s distinctive vocals and emotionally driven songwriting live, without having to travel overseas.

Fans planning to attend either show should take note of the festival’s pre-registration process.

Pre-registration opened on Howler at 10am on Friday, 23 October 2026, and closes on Wednesday, 28 October 2026.

Registration takes only a few minutes and can be completed through the official Milk + Cookies Festival website: milkandcookiesfestival.com
