From surfing to kayaking and even scuba diving, Africa offers a slice of happiness for every water sports enthusiast. Here are some of the continent’s destinations to consider for water activities:

Mauritius

The island of Mauritius boasts beauty beyond words. It is also a world-class spot for water activities such as scuba diving, deep-sea fishing and waterskiing. One of the best areas for waterskiing is considered to be along the northern part of the island. This is due to a relatively calm sea, as well as protection from the big waves.

Tanzania

Filled with natural splendour, Tanzania is a paradise for water sport enthusiasts. There are many water activities to enjoy along the destination’s coastlines.

Admire the breathtaking Indian Ocean’s underwater life through a memorable snorkelling experience. You can expect the lovely sight of colourful fish, coral reefs and sea turtles. The destination is also ideal for some Stand Up Paddling  (SUP) or paddle surfing. The opportunity to calmly paddle through Tanzania’s mangroves is one worth experiencing.

Zambia

Apart from its incredible scenery, Zambia is also one of Africa’s best adventure capitals. In fact, one of the most popular water activities at the destination is white water rafting on the Zambezi River.

The deep channeled and high volume river enables you to enjoy the destination’s magnificent beauty, while also experiencing memorable water fun.
