Plant Café is one of the Mother City’s vegan food gems. The eatery prides itself in providing delicious, plant-based meals, juices, smoothies and desserts.

It was established in 2013 as one of Cape Town’s first vegan cafés. When dining at the eatery, you can expect dishes made with fresh ingredients, as well as trained and friendly staff. On the menu are a selection of dishes including wraps, vegan burgers and pasta.

The Fussy Vegan

If you’re a vegan in search of good food, head over to The Fussy Vegan. The eatery offers some of the tastiest breakfasts, burgers, burritos and subs.

There are three locations in Gauteng, namely Blairgowrie, CityROCK and Greenside. In 2021 and 2022, The Fussy Vegan Restaurant was voted the best vegan restaurant in Johannesburg.

Baobab Wholefood Café

Baobab Wholefood Café is one of the Eastern Cape’s best vegan restaurants. The plant-based and vegan-friendly eatery is located in Gqeberha and offers a fully vegan menu.
