South African vineyard named in world’s top 50

The first ever virtual vineyards awards was held this week, naming the top 50 wine farms from around the world. Among the winners, South Africa’s own Delaire Graff Estate was named the Best Vineyard in Africa and came in 14th place overall. Eighteen countries featured on the list.

Despite the difficult circumstances many face due to the ongoing pandemic, The World’s Best Vineyards list aims to highlight vineyards of excellence and create a profile for wine tourism.

During the award ceremony, founder Andrew Reed commended those in the industry for their adaptability. He continued in saying this trait that would allow them to grow in future.

Delaire Graff Estate is located in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape is the only wine farm from South Africa to make the list.

The stunning establishment has been recognised for its unforgettable views of the valley and of course its spectacular wine, earning a place as an international must-visit destination.
