The whales are here! Humpbacks, southern rights and killers in Cape Town

Every year, South Africans grab the binoculars between June and December when an array of whale species make their way from Antarctica to our shores to mate and give birth.

Humpback, killer and southern right whales are the most common species sighted off the shores of Cape Town. Bryde’s whales are seen too.
