Posted on 1 March 2024 By Savanna Douglas

Time for residents and visitors in Limpopo to make a splash, as the region welcomes a new family water park complete with a reptile and bird park, an outdoor arena, and loads of fun water-based activities.

Forming part of the Meropa Casino and Entertainment World, the newly renovated hub has launched its very own water park, WildThingz, with a 25m swimming pool, hosting a range of fun water games including airball, freeze tag, diving Olympics, pool basketball and more.

The family-friendly venue also boasts a bird and reptile park, which gives kids the opportunity to learn about the region’s variety of wildlife, while having fun.

WildThingz – doubling as a bird and reptile park and a water park – is one of several family activities available at Meropa. There’s also go-carting, quad-biking, arcade games, table soccer and more.

As per The Citizen, Meropa’s General Manager, Sammy Mokhele, says:

“As the heartbeat of Limpopo, Meropa’s entertainment offering is suited to more than just kids’ parties, with our new private gaming room and an upcoming renovation for our Salon Privé,”

Continuing:

“We recently launched Meropa Outdoor Arena on the lawns, which is the ideal venue for concerts and exhibitions and can accommodate up to 4 000 people in the standing area.”

The hub has also launched a coffee shop where guests can kick back for a drink and a light meal, while the kids raid the sweet shop.

Entrance to WildThingz comes in at R50 for kids, and R100 for adults, with operating hours from Tuesday to Sunday from 09h00 until 16h00.
