Expatriation flights between SA and UK to resume Posted on 28 November 2021 According to the Department of International Relations, flights from the United Kingdom to South Africa will resume on Tuesday 30 November. SA currently remains on the Red List. It is required that passengers are British or Irish Nationals, or UK residents. The department said the UK High Commission has confirmed that British Airways will resume flights to South Africa on Tuesday and Virgin Airways will continue three flights a week. The first British Airways flight from SA to the UK will be on Wednesday. A British National booked on the Wednesday BA flight has confirmed that further requirements include: A PCR test within 72 hours prior to departure Completion of a passenger locator form A confirmed booking at a registered quarantine hotel in the UK including 2 COVID-19 tests We will bring you updates as they happen.
