Mack Air launches flights between Victoria Falls and Hwange

Mack Air, an aircraft charter company that services a wide range of tourist destinations within Southern Africa, will be launching daily flight services between Victoria Falls and Hwange from April 2022.

Hwange, Zimbabwe, is home to the largest and best known of Zimbabwe’s national parks, Hwange national park, a 15 000 km² dedicated conservation area famous for its large herds of elephants and buffalo.

As Victoria Falls steadily receives more tourists after the industry was largely affected by Covid-19, a partnership between Mack Air and Central Air Transport Services is one way the airline comments it is trying to bolster tourism by launching flight services throughout Southern Africa.

‘CATS and Mack Air share a common vision and we aim to assist in bringing confidence back to regional safari travel and likewise open new destinations and continue to play a critical role within the southern region of Zimbabwe and Botswana and more specifically Hwange Area,’ explains Michael Weyl, Mack Air Managing Director.

This could further add to Victoria Falls as a tourist hub, which is due to get frequent Eurowings flights between Frankfurt and Victoria Falls via Windhoek from March 2022, where Mack Airs flights can serve as an easy transport link between Victoria Falls and Hwange.
