Taking place on 26 June 2026, The Art of Sea and Spirit will bring together marine-inspired fine dining and precision-crafted cocktails in an experience designed to engage all the senses. The evening pairs AMURA’s ocean-led gastronomy with ANTHM’s atmospheric cocktail philosophy, shaped by acclaimed mixologist Tetsuo Hasegawa.

Located within the iconic pink walls of Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, AMURA has quickly become one of Cape Town’s standout dining destinations. Inspired by the marine-focused philosophy of Michelin-starred Spanish chef Ángel León, the restaurant centres its menu around seafood, coastal flavours and ingredients drawn from the ocean.

For this exclusive collaboration, guests can expect a multi-course Chef’s Journey menu featuring dishes such as oysters with green gazpacho, scallops with oyster emulsion and citrus beurre blanc, langoustine with sweetcorn and mole, as well as plankton risotto with squid and aioli. The experience concludes with dry-aged seabass served alongside pil-pil sauce and AMURA’s signature mussel caramel with brown butter and seaweed.

The cocktail pairings remain under wraps for now. However, ANTHM’s signature style offers some clues. Hasegawa is known for combining Japanese bartending techniques with local botanicals, delicate teas, citrus oils and smoke to create layered, thoughtful drinks that favour balance over excess. Non-alcoholic pairings will also be available.

According to Mount Nelson General Manager Patrick Fisher, the collaboration reflects the hotel’s evolving approach to hospitality and cultural experiences.

“Mount Nelson has always been a place where culture and hospitality naturally meet,” Fisher said. “Welcoming ANTHM to AMURA allows us to bring together two distinct creative voices in Cape Town’s dining landscape.”

Limited to just 50 guests, the dinner takes place at 18:30 on 26 June 2026 and costs R2 650 per person.

Reservations can be made through DinePlan.
