New dhow trips on Zambezi let you travel ‘old school’

Posted on 2 July 2019

A new personalised adventure has been launched on the Zambezi River, the fourth-longest in Africa after the Nile, Congo and Niger Rivers, as of 1 June.

Zambezi Truth, a dhow operator in Zimbabwe, is offering trips along a languid section of the river in two handcrafted dhows, namely the Zambezi Tribe and Zambezi Origin. These East-African-style vessels, made entirely from natural materials, can transport 12 guests at a time.
