Rhino charges a safari group on local reserve

Nothing quite compares to a trip to the bush. No matter if it is your first or fiftieth time, seeing wild animals up close in their natural habitat is a truly indescribable experience.

While on safari in South Africa, a group and their guide came across an enraged rhino bull. The animal chased the jeep for nearly 460 meters down a dirt track.

In a terrifying video clip posted by Latest Sightings, you can see how close the rhino gets to the car. The guide drove speedily down the dirt track, spewing dust in the animal’s eyes.

Rhinos have poor eyesight and the dust would have helped to disorientate the animal. The rhino, however, did not give up the chase.

In the video you can see the guide making a sharp right turn to try throw the animal off, but to no avail.

Speaking to Latest Sightings, the guide said that this wasn’t the first time the animal charged his jeep. See the video footage below.
