Snow falls in northern Eastern Cape

The South African Weather Service has predicted light snow for the northern high-lying areas of the Eastern Cape, stretching from Graaf-Reinet to Queenstown and to Maclear. So far, a few high-lying areas have been lucky enough to see snow today.

Tiffindell Ski Resort has reported that about 10cm of snow has already fallen today.

In the Eastern Cape, snow is falling between the towns of Elliot and Barkly East, Storm Report SA reports:

Still snowing between Barkly East and Elliot. We don't know of any ground level snow in town but we see that the snow line is around 2100m.
