Snow predicted for Western Cape today

Posted by Elise Kirsten on 20 May 2019

A cold front made landfall on Sunday bringing rain to the Western Cape and according to Snow Report, possibly the first snowfall of the season.

The report indicates that there is the possibility ‘of a few centimetres of snow on the high peaks of the Hex River Mountains around Worcester, De Doorns and Ceres’.

It’s unlikely the snow, if it does fall, will be anywhere accessible, but if you are keen on visiting the powdery stuff this winter, we’ve put together a list of five South African snow escapes.
