The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) has welcomed the news, calling it a signal of the country’s thriving tourism industry.

“We are absolutely delighted by the record-breaking arrival numbers. It shows that tourism has not only recovered but has entered a vibrant new era of growth,” says TMACC MD Wahida Parker.

According to Parker, surpassing pre-pandemic levels is the result of a concerted effort. “This success isn’t accidental. It comes from tireless collaboration between government, private sector partners, and all tourism role players marketing our beautiful destination to the world,” she adds.

While the figures are cause for celebration, TMACC urges the industry to keep pushing. Parker emphasizes that tourism is a vital engine for jobs and economic growth. “We cannot afford to be complacent. By continuing to work together, we ensure that the benefits of tourism reach every corner of society.”

With numbers like these, South Africa proves once again that it’s a world-class destination, and the country’s iconic sights — from Table Mountain to the beaches and bushveld — are calling travellers from every corner of the globe.
