The famous Drakensberg mountains are set to host an all-female naked hike to inspire the women of South Africa. The daring hike aims to reiterate the importance of feminism, sisterhood, and body positivity.
The women’s naked hike was brought on after an all-men’s naked hike took place in early 2021. A demand for equality and equal opportunities spurred founder Fanafikile Lephakha to organize the Drakensberg female naked hike.
The women’s naked hike is set to take place in a secluded location on the Drakensberg mountains. The top secret details will be communicated only to the hiking participants. The hike is estimated to last for approximately 4 hours, with the female hikers going fully nude for only 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The hike has been organised to take place on the 20th November 2021, costing the female hikers R450 to participate.
The nude hike seeks to empower female hikers by creating a sense of unity among women and by giving women the freedom to express themselves without judgement.
