Londoners and travellers alike can now experience a slice of South Africa’s vibrant food scene without boarding a flight. Following an overwhelming response, The Pot Luck Club, Cape Town’s cult-favourite restaurant, has extended its residency at The Waldorf Hilton, London, until June 2026.

What began as a three-month pop-up inside the hotel’s Homage restaurant has evolved into one of London’s most talked-about dining experiences. The extension means South African travellers abroad—and curious London foodies—can continue to savour the creativity of chef Luke Dale Roberts, one of South Africa’s most celebrated culinary exports.

Cape Town flair meets London elegance

Perched above Cape Town’s Old Biscuit Mill, The Pot Luck Club has long been known for its skyline views, inventive small plates, and energy that fuses fine dining with fun. Its London pop-up captures that same magic, blending South African soul with British seasonal produce.

On the winter menu, guests can expect dishes like duck samosas scented with five spice, fallow deer with a rich mole jus, and guinea fowl paired with cranberry. For dessert, a rooibos-poached quince nods to homegrown flavours with a refined European twist.

The Wild Monkey Bar complements the dining room with cocktails as adventurous as the food—think a Thai Green Curry Martini, a bright Passion Fruit Sake, and a Raspberry Fig Cooler designed to mirror the rhythm of the kitchen.

A must for culinary travellers

“We’re delighted to extend The Pot Luck Club’s residency at The Waldorf Hilton, London until June 2026,” says Guy Hilton, General Manager. “The response has been phenomenal, and it’s been exciting to see the restaurant bring such fresh energy to the hotel. This extension means even more guests will have the chance to experience it.”

“We’ve talked about bringing The Pot Luck Club to London for years, and it was always the city that made sense,” says chef Luke Dale Roberts.

“As a Brit, it’s so meaningful to have been welcomed back in such a positive way, and it’s been a real pleasure doing this with a London landmark hotel, such as The Waldorf Hilton, London. I feel so lucky to share what we’ve built in Cape Town with a new audience.”

Dinner is served daily from 5pm, with options ranging from a Lite prix fixe perfect for pre-theatre dining to the indulgent Loaded tasting menu. Whether you’re a South African expat craving familiar flavours or a traveller tracing the tastes of the world, this extended pop-up promises an unforgettable global dining moment.
