Destructive hailstorm hits Lydenburg in Mpumalanga Posted by Anita Froneman on 15 November 2021 Several areas in Mpumalanga, especially Lydenburg was hit by a big hailstorm on Sunday, 14 November. The Badfontein Road, Dullstroom Road (R36) and the Burgersfort Road (R37) were severely affected and property and vehicles were damaged, reports Lowvelder. The SAWS warned of possible localised flooding in low-lying areas. Storm Report SA shared footage from residents, showing hail the size of golf and even cricket balls.
