A lucky visitor to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park managed to capture this amazing sighting of a stealthy leopard sneaking up on a springbok before launching its ambush.
The leopard is seen crawling below the roadside edge before tiptoeing closer to the springbok, hiding behind the nearby tree. The hunt reaches its climax as the leopard begins its chase. Watch the full video below to see the result.
The Kgalagadi Leopard Trust managed to identify this leopard as Ithemeleng, a mother with two cubs to feed.
