A brave little buffalo decided to show one massive elephant who’s boss, leaving the majestic gentle giant very shocked and puzzled.
This rare encounter was captured by Andrew Cohen and shared on Latest Sightings.

On a late afternoon drive, Cohen and his companions came up to a reservoir and decided to watch for a while.
They saw a buffalo walking out from behind a bush, approaching the waterhole. Her little calf followed diligently behind her.

An elephant came from the left towards the mom and baby buffalo. It seemed as if he wanted to interact with them both. Not on the baby’s watch, though!
Soon after the young buffalo caught glimpse of the elephant, it immediately charged towards him. The elephant started pedaling backwards and trumpeting.
According to Cohen, what made this sighting extra special was the fact that the elephant could’ve easily hurt the baby buffalo. However, it was almost as though he sensed that this was an innocent newborn and that it didn’t mean any harm.
