Passengers and visitors were directed to follow strict safety instructions and move to designated areas as advised by airport personnel. Despite the quick containment, the fire caused temporary disruptions to network and IT services, including airport Wi-Fi and other essential systems.

International departures have been temporarily halted, while inbound international flights are being diverted. Domestic travel continues, but passengers are encouraged to check flight updates directly with their airlines or via the ACSA Mobile App.

ACSA spokesperson Ofentse Dijoe confirmed that flights already landed are being processed, and further updates will be shared as verified information becomes available. Travelers on domestic or international routes are advised to monitor communications closely to avoid delays.
