South African firefighters win Silver at the Eco-Logic Awards

The Juliet Crew, South Africa’s first all-female firefighting team, has won Silver in the Eco-Logic Awards. The brave group of women have secured their win in the Eco-Warrior category for their efforts in battling the wildfires of Cape Town.

The Eco-Logic Awards is a gratuity ceremony that celebrates the ecological contributions of individuals, companies and organizations who have actively participated in projects to create a more sustainable Earth. The ceremony aims to identify and acknowledge the efforts of members of society by distributing awards across 12 environmental categories.

This year the Juliet Crew have been selected for their heroic efforts in fighting the wildfires that ravaged Cape Town’s Table Mountain in April 2021. The resilient group of ladies worked tirelessly to contain the fire and save lives.

This phenomenal group is comprised of women from previously disadvantaged backgrounds who have defied their circumstances and strived towards excellence. These national heroes are a fearless representation of the female spirit and continue to inspire change in women around the globe.
