Getting cold feet: The coolest snow pictures from around South Africa

Posted on 26 July 2021 By Anita Froneman

For a few weeks a year, South Africa turns into a magical winter wonderland. The land of sunshine, pool parties and braais briefly swaps the warmth for snowmen, flasks of hot chocolate and icy white landscapes. And oh, how we love it. We adore seeing families dressed in beanies, scarves and gloves, laughing and having snowball fights. Some set their inner architects free and build ‘igloos,’ others make snow angels.

Some even donned their proudly South African Faf de Klerk Speedos and braved the cold. Take a look at some of the coolest snow footage from around the country this winter.
